Bigger – More Engaged – More Powerful – Labor Movement

The North Carolina State AFL-CIO held their 62nd Annual Convention in the “Queen City” of Charlotte, North Carolina on September 19 and 20 of 2019. Union leaders and lodge members from various unions throughout the state attended as well as a few constituency groups who support organized labor and have participated in many marches and rallies alongside union representatives as labor continues to fight for workers and N.C. families in a state that has not been kind to it’s citizens since the republican take over of the N.C. legislature in 2010. The convention featured a variety of great speakers from various unions and had a theme of “Count Me In Together We Can Win” For more information about the Convention and associated activities go to aflcionc.org.

Man you have always been a mentor and you have always looked out when it comes to getting involved in this union stuff. I know I give you a hard time man. I love you and I appreciate what you’ve done for me and during all the struggles you always found a way to put me on point to get my name out there, so thank you my friend. I really appreciate you though I sometimes don’t act like it, but I do.
